"The Sunrise House"
Hey traveling besties! It’s your favorite blogger and I’m back! This time I’m taking a trip to the south! I finally made it to Texas! Houston, Texas that is! I couldn’t be more excited! You know what they say, everything is big in Texas! So I definitely had to experience it for myself! First stop “The Sunrise House”! The Sunrise House is a locals favorite breakfast/brunch spot! Located at 1830 West Alabama Street, Houston, Texas 77098. This cozy spot is very popular! So popular that you absolutely need a reservation just to get in! If not you may be turned away or possibly wait for a long period of time! Also because of the popularity you only have a two hour window to dine. No matter the size of your party! However it’s worth every minute!
To get started I ordered a hot Mocha Latte made with almond milk. This latte was so rich, sweet, and creamy! Bold yet subtle, I enjoyed every sip. While I waited for my latte my waiter brought me these oh so delicious honey buttered croissants. OMG, they were so perfectly buttery and so flakey! I enjoyed peeling back every layer. They were so delicious that I placed an order separately aside from my entree. Two are complimentary, but if you order them they’re sold in increments of 5. Worth every bite!

Let’s jump straight into it! I ordered the “Waffle Delight”. Which could be considered your traditional “Chicken N Waffles”. Now I know what you’re thinking………that’s so typical right? Wrong! This isn’t your traditional chicken n waffles. I had Banana Pudding waffles! Yasssss I know right! What a traditional spin on two classics! These waffles are drizzled with cream cheese icing, banana pudding, wafer cookie crumbles garnished with a beautiful flower! The waffles are served with crispy, seasoned chicken tenders and warm syrup! It was so delicious! A perfect combination of sweet and savory! Oh and by the way if banana pudding isn’t your flavor they also have other waffle flavors to choose from! You can choose buttermilk, red velvet or strawberry lemon!
Overall I really enjoyed myself. My meal was top notch, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating ! Not to mention there were also a few cute spots to take pics for photo ops! My only suggestion ………….make reservations ahead of time! Other than that I would give this place a 10 out of 10! Until next time……….
