Yes, I'm A Caker!
Soooooooooo outside of everything else that I do, I am a baker/cake decorator! I have an Associates Degree in Professional Baking & Pastry. It is one of my many passions! I’ve been baking since I was 13 years old! I’ve been apart of many birthday parties, baby showers, anniversaries, and weddings! You name it, I bake it! Cookies, cakes, pies brownies, any kind of sweet treat that’s my thing! There are so many people that know me only for my cakes! Majority of my customers have no idea about the other things that I do because they’re just use to seeing me bake cakes!
I have been professionally baking and cake decorating for well over 15 years! I love my job with such integrity and passion! I absolutely enjoy my desserts being the center of attention at any event. To me it’s not just about making money, even though it’s a plus! It’s about the fact that I get to be apart of special occasions and life changing events. The fact that people choose me to share their most celebrated and intimate times of their lives is such a privilege! I service over 300 customers a year and I have close relationships with all of them! I don’t take any of them for granted! I am nothing without the support of my customers! Cake decorating is my therapeutic safe haven, it’s one of my many forms of artistry!
It truly is an artform! To have the ability to create something from nothing but my thoughts with my bare hands is amazing to me. My favorite part about my job I love is when my customers give me creative control to design their cakes for their events! It is an amazing feeling to bring so many ideas to life. It doesn’t feel like work when you do what you love! The even more exciting part of my job is shopping for new equipment and materials! I absolutely will go broke buying things I do and don’t need …lol
My favorite places to shop include Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Amazon, The Restaurant Store, and a local store Kake Kraft Korner! My favorite brands to use are Wilton, and Cake Craft! I love using their brands because it’s good quality and the options are endless when it comes to their products! I’m not opposed to other brands but these are my main go to companies!
